tiersaw (tersa)

A hard, stiff saw used by bricklayers for cutting curved faces upon bricks in building arches, domes, round brick pillars, etc. tiers état (tyarz ā-tä'). [F.: tiers ( tier-shot (ter's hot), n. Grape-shot arranged in tiers with circular disks between them.
