Shell limpet-like, depre ed, apex sub-central, with a minute spiral nucleus. One fo il species, from the Tertiary. ty-lo-don, s. [Pref. tylo-, and Gr. odous (gen it. odontos ) = a tooth.] Palæont .: A genus of Viver ride, from the Eocene Tertiary of Europe. The animals were about the size of a Glutton.
