or Indian Cauecasus, a mountain system of Central ‘Asia. It is generally considered as a continuation of the Him a lay as, which it adjoins at the Indus, and then stretches W. till it unites with the Ghur Mountains in North Afghanis tan. In many features the Hindu Kush resembles the Him a lay as prop er, though it is lower and destitute of forests.
