Current amongst statutory criminals. A prison sentence of one year; sometimes used to signify an indefinite term of years in prison. The “ STRETCH ” better expre es the latter sentence of penal servitude. Example: “He’s doing a lag in the little can.” Also used as a verb as the equivalent of “RAILROADING” a criminal to prison.
