compression

(kom-presh'un) [L. comprimere, to pre together.] A squeezing together, the exertion of pre ure on a body in such a way as to tend to increase its density, cer'ebral c, c. of the brain, a condition in which pre ure is put upon the intracranial ti ues by an effusion of blood, increase of cerebrospinal fluid, an absce or neoplasm, or a depre ed fracture of the skull.
