Co.; for ist; consented to sing at Oslo as substitute for indisposed artist, and her succ. led to permanent engagement at the Op. there; had sung entirely in Scand in avian countries before engagement at Bayreuth, | Griin at Vienna, and Marsick at Paris Cons.; in 1897-1902 prof. at Bucharest Cons.; and chamber musician to the Roum an i an queen; 1903-8, teacher at Amsterdam Cons.; 1925 at Curtis Inst., Phila.; later taught in Baden-Baden, London, etc.; author of vin. method.
