Feather

fetb/er, n. One of the growths, generally formed each of a central quill and a vane on each side of it, which cover a bird; a plume; pen. —v. [feathered (-erd), -ering.] To dre in feathers; to furnish (an arrow, cap, etc.) with feathers; to adorn, deck; to tread, as a cock. — v. i.
