Sycamore

(sik'a-mōr.) [From Gr. sykomoros, the fig mulberry.] (Bot.) A species of fig-tree. See Ficus. Sycamore, in Illinois, a vill., C. of De Kalb co., 208 m. N.E. of Springfield. Pop. 1,967. [s. 872]
