in Norway ab. 950. He fled to Iceland, visited Green land ab. 982, and ab. 986 founded a settlement there, which flourished for ab. 4 centuries and then disappeared from history. His son, LEIF, visited Vinland (probably Ma .) ab. 1000. Eric XIII., 1382-1459. King of Denmark and Norway 141239, and of Sweden till its sece ion 1437. Eric XIV., 1533-1577. King of Sweden 1560-68; son and succe or of Gustavus Vasa; deposed.
