[Eng. plush; -y.] Like plush; soft and shaggy. "Acro the damp gravel and plushy lawn."-H. Kings. ley: Geoffry Hamlyn, ch. iv. plu-şi-a, s . [Gr. plousios rich, wealthy, referring to the gold and silver markings on the wings.] Entom.: The typical genus of the Plusidæ (q. v.). Plusia gamma is the Silver Y, or Gamma Moth, so called from markings like those letters on the wings. Other species are P. interrogation is , named from its markings, and P. chrysitis , the Burnished Bra Moth, from a very large patch of bra y green.
