Livor. (liv-e'-do). Same as Liver (liv'-er). The largest gland in the body, a part of the digestive tract, and situated on the right side of the abdominal cavity, just below the diaphragm. Its functions are: (i) the secretion of bile; the formation of glycogen; the production, at least at a certain period of development, of nail. See Hobnail Liver.
