Sector. Zone. Section (of line, trenches, etc.). District served by a fire station, a power-station, a gas company, etc. Are (of instrument or gear). Secteur denté. Toothed arc.—Secteur fileté (li e). pores segment (plain segment) of interrupted screw breech ock. Secteur. Front occupied by division in the trenches; also group of “centres of resistance.”—Sous-secteur. Subdivision of sector, comprising two or more “centres of resistance” and the trench system connecting them.—Secteur de surveillance. Section of front allotted to unit of outposts. Secteur de tir. Arc of fire (of casemated gun, especially machine gun in trenches).—Secteur privé des feux. Dead angle in front of salient.—Secteur postal.
