Lesueur

EUSTACHE, (la-soo-ŭr',) a French historical painter, B. in Paris, 1617. His grace of touch and breadth of composition are chiefly conspicuous in a series of 22 noble pictures in the Louvre, representing The Life and Death of St. Bruno. D. 1655.
