(gran-zt-la’-s/iun) [granula, dim. of granum, a grain]. I. A capillary loop of blood-ve els surrounded by a group of connective-ti ue cells. 2. Also the proce by which these are formed. 3. The formation of new or cicatricial ti ue in the repair of wTounds or ulcers, the surface of which has a granular appearance; also, any one of the elevated points of such a surface or formation.
