(kre’tah) (L. for ‘‘chalk”]. Chalk. c. prepara’ta, prepared chalk; elutriated calcium carbonate. It is an antacid remedy; often useful in diarrhea. Dose, 5-40 gr. (0.333-2.066 gm.). pul’vis cre’te compos’it us, compound chalk powder: chalk, 30 parts; sugar, 50 parts; and gum arabic, 20 parts. Dose, 5-60 gr. (0.333-4 gm.).
