Harmonists

a sect founded by two brothers, George and Frederick Rapp, who emigrated from Wurtemberg to the United States in 1803. Soon afterward they founded the town of Harmony in Pennsylvania. In 1815 they buiJt New Harmony in Indiana. In 1825 the Harmonists removed to a new settlement, which they called Economy. They have community of goods and consider marriage a civil contract.
