consists of pure starch, and therefore must never be used to feed infants before they are six months old. It is often used in convalescence from illne , especially in cases of diarrhea. It is generally served in the form of grucl which may be prepared as follows:—a teaspoonful is made into a paste with a little milk, and is then slowly stirred into half a pint of boiling milk and kept stirred for five minutes, [s. 333]
