A preparation of the old pharmacopeias, containing vinegar, alcohol, camphor, and honey. fo'mes, which pi., absorbs fomites. and Any porous infectious transmits substance material. [Lat, fomes, tinder.] fontanel (f on-tan-el')- A membranous interspace between the bones of the fetal skull at a point where three or four bones meet, anterior f. Syn.: bregma.
