Burdach, Karl

FRIED RICH, a well-known German physiologist, B. in Leipzig, June 12, 1776. He was profe or of anatomy and physiology in Dorpat from 1811 to 1814, when he accepted the same chair in the University of Königsberg, which he held until his death in 1847. He was a man of fine ability, and an arduous worker in science; he is the author of many works on anatomy, physiology, ., and is well known for his works.
