Euphony

(u'fo-ne.) [Gr. euphonia, pleasant sounds.] (Rhet.) An easy and smooth articulation and enunciation of words: -it maybe defined as a grammatical license, by which a letter that is too harsh may be converted into a smoother, contrary to the ordinary rules, for the purpose of promoting harmony and elegance in the pronunciation.
