Here belong Aphrodite , with elytra on the no to podia of alternate segments, a few tentacles and palps on the head; Eunice and Diopatra, with long body, uniramous parapodia, and many tentacles on head; and Nereis , with long body, few tentacles on head; the parapodia, sometimes biramous, and bearing composite setæ. Some forms are phosphorescent.
