Skins covered with hairs, soft, thick, short, and fine, used for warm garments. Those most highly prized are the silver fox, ermine, sable, seal, beaver, otter, chinchilla, and lynx. The cat and rabbit are now largely used in making good imitations of the more expensive furs.
