pinon (pinyon)

[Sp.-Amer.: see pinion1.] One of several nut-pines of the Rocky Mountain region, as Pinus Parry an a, P. edulis, and P. mo nophylla; also, a seed of one of these trees.from its fondne for piñons and other nut-pines.
