SAINT MARY’S ISLAND

[s. 661] : A large island off the coast of Gambia, West Africa, at the mouth of The the Gambia River, east of Cape St. Mary. Mi ion principal city on the island is Bathurst. station of the Wesley an Mi ionary Society, with a force of 6 mi ionaries, 40 native helpers, 6 chapels, and 5 schools containing about 1,000 pupils. A village SAINT PETER’S (Indian Settlement) in Canada, situated on the S. end of Lake Winn i Station peg, apout 40 miles N. E. of Winnipeg. of the CMS, with (1903) 1 mi ionary and his wife, 17 native workers, 1,135 profe ed Christians, of 355 are communicants; 6 day schools, and 1 Sunday school.: whom SAINT PAUL DE LOANDA: Capital of the province of Loanda, in the Portuguese Colony of Angola, on the west coast of Africa. It is situated on a beautiful landlocked harbor, sixty miles by sea north of the mouth of the Quanza. Its population, estimated at about 20,000, consists of a few hundred Portuguese, and the rest are negroes. 661
