Perversion of the secretions; also hypersecretion. para sigmatism (par-ah-sig’mat-izm) [Gr. παρά beside + σίγμα letter S]. Imperfect pronunciation of s-sounds. paras i no i dal (par’ah-si-noi’dal) [Gr. rap a near + sinus]. Situated along the course of a sinus. parasite (par ah-sit) [Gr. παράσιτος]. 1. A plant or animal which lives upon or within a living organism. 2.
