[As prepotence (see- cy ).] The state or quality of being prepotent; superior power, influence, or efficiency; predominance; prevalence. If there were a determinate prepotency in the right, we might expect the same in other animals, whose parts are also differenced by dextrality. Sir T. Browne , Vulg. Err., iv. 5.
