It forms a brilliant, white, odorle , crystalline ma , melting at 44.5°. lauric-ether, s. Chem.: C12H23O2 C2H5. Laurate of ethyl is prepared by pa ing hydrochloric acid gas into an alcoholic solution of lauric acid. It is a colorle oil, po e ing a fruity odor, and having a specific gravity of 0.86 at 20°.
