A great part of this book is historical, relating several remarkable events which happened in that journey, and also mentioning various of their journey ings in the wilderne . This book comprehends the history of about thirty-eight years, though the greater part of the things recorded fell out in the first and last of those years; and it does not appear when those things were done which are recorded in the middle of the book.
