SELTZER WATER

A mineral water from Seltzer, about ten miles from Frankfort on the Maine. It is an agreeable beverage, from the quantity of free carbonic acid which it contains, and which covers its slightly saline taste. Common salt, with the carbonates of magnesia, lime, and soda, are the saline ingredients. [s. 1114]
