Of Vee, the physostigmine of some authors; a highly poisonous alkaloid, C]6H5iN3Oj, obtained from Physostigma venenosum. A small quantity powerfully contracts the pupil, and is employed to relieve blepharospasm. produce miosis after undue mydriasis, and in incipient glaucoma. [Attfleld (a, 27); B; "Proc. of the Am.
