Oblique and Parallel Circuit Laws

— The following are the laws which apply to oblique and parallel circuits as discovered by Ampère. 1. Two portions of circuits cro ing obliquely attract each other if both the currents run either towards or from the point of cro ing, and repel each other, uf one runs to, and the other from that point. 2. Two paraliel portions of a circuit attract each other if the currents in them are flowing in the same direction. and repel each other if the currents flow in opposite directions. 3. The force exerted between two parallel portions of circuits is proportional to the product of the strengths of the two currents,to the length of the portions, and inversely proportional to the simple distance between them.
