[NL., pl. of Xy lophagus, q. v.] 1. In Latreille's system of cla ification, the second family of his tetram erous Coleoptera, containing many forms now distributed among the Bostrichidæ, Mycetopha gidæ, Cioidæ, Lathridiidæ, Cucujidæ, Colydiida, and Trogositidæ.-2. In Meigen's cla ification, same as Xylophagidæ.
