See capstan. capsula (kap'sū-la), n.; pl. capsulæ (-lē). [L.) Same as capsule. capsulæscic (kap-su-les'ik), a. [L. capsula (see capsule ) + æsc - ulus, horse-chestnut (see esculin), + -ic.] Derived from capsules of the horse-chestnut. - Capsulæscic acid, an acid found in the capsules of horse-chestnuts. capsular (kap'sū-lär), a. [ capsulary (kap'sū-lā-ri), a. Same as capsular. capsulate, capsulated (kap'sū-lāt, -lā-ted), a. [ as in a chest or box. Also capsuled.
