'saw-fish,' applied to various species of the genus Cybium : peixe , piscis , = E. fish ; serra , serra , a saw: see serrate .] A scombroid fish, Scombe romorus guttatus , of an elongate fusiform shape, and resembling the Spanish mackerel, S. macu lat us . It inhabits the East Indian seas, and is a valuable food-fish, much esteemed for its savorine . seerpaw (ser'pa), n. [Formerly also serpaw, serpow;
