Ambrosia

(am-bro’zhe-ah) [L. and Gr., from ἅμβρο- ros immortal]. A genus of composite-flowered plants. A. artemisiefo'lia and A. trif’ida have been employed as anthelmintics and febrifuges. Their pollen is said to cause hay-fever.
