(an-dro-po/-gon). A genus of coarse gra es of many species. A. nard us affords oil of citronella; A. citratus, lemongra oil; A. sckamanthus, oil of rusa, etc. These oils are employed in perfumery, and are said to be useful in rheumatism. The oil-bearing andropogons are chiefly S. Asiatic. Unof.
