(kar-of -id). I. The principal (right and left) artery of the neck. See Arteries, Table of. 2. Of or relating to either of the two great arteries of the neck, or their principal branches. See Canal , Foramen, Ganglion, Plexus, etc. Carotin (kar'-o-tin), An oily coloring matter found in carrot-root and tomato. It is a lipochrome.
