Not continuous; broken off; interrupted. Discoph'oræ, n . pl . ( Zool . ) See MEDUSE. Disco pleura, n. [Gr. diskos , and pleura , a rib.] ( Bot . ) A genus of plants, order Apiacea . The Bishop-weed, D. capillacea, found in swamps from Ma achusetts to Georgia, has a stem 1 to 2 feet high, much branched; leaves very smooth; umbels axillary; and white flowers blo oming from July to November.
