A large water-fowl found on the Chesapeake, and other rivers in Virginia. Cro'ma, n. [It.] (Mus.) A musical character; a quaver. Crom'arty, a small co., in the N. of Scotland, in the form of a peninsula, on the Murray Frith. C. the chief town, is a small sea-port on the C. Frith, 20 m. N. of Inverne , with a pop . of about 2,800.
