Psychology

(si-kol'o-je.) [From Gr. psyche, and logos, doctrine.] (Philos.) The science of the soul or spiritual principle in man. It deals with the law sand relations of the various changes and phenomena which take place in the mind during the intellectual operations, and traces the causes of these phenomena, in order to discover the nature of the mind and its relations to the universe.
