Anat.: One of the terminal branches of the ophthalmic artery. It pa es from the orbit of its inner angle, and, ascending on the forehead, supplies the muscles, integuments, and pericranium, an as tomos ing with the artery of the opposite side. frontal-bone, s. Anat .: A bone, double in the fetus, single in the adult, situate at the base of the cranium, and at the superior part of the face. It forms the vault of the orbit, lodges the ethmoid bone in a notch in its middle part, and is articulated besides with the sphenoid, parietal, and nasal bones, the o a unguis, superior maxillary, and malar bones. frontal-eminence, s. Anat .: The part forming the greatest convexity of the forehead on each side. It is separated by a slight depre ion from below from the superciliary ridge. frontal-hammer, s. Forg .: A forge-hammer lifted by a cam, acting upon a tongue immediately in front of the hammer head.
