Axilla

Armpit, or space under the shoulder joint, bounded in front and behind by folds of muscle, outwardly and inwardly by the arm and chest, containing the large ve els and nerves of the arm and a number of lymphatic glands, which render injuries and operations in their vicinity dangerous.
