Pointing or ending sharply. On board a ve el it means the narrow part of her interior near the stem and stern-post from the keelson-line upwards. Therefore in ve els with a full bow and a full run the peaks are neither long nor do they extend far up, while in sharp built ships they are both long and of a considerable height, but as a rule not above the line of the lowermost deck.
