Leuconidæ (LUECONES)

Calcareous sponges with thick walls pierced by branching canals. The form of the body is IMG:content-1075.png:[graphic] Sycandra ciliata. sac-like, and there is but one osculum. The flagellated cells are in special dilatations of the canals.
