[ arkhieréť , ἀρχιερεύς , a high priest, ἀρχ- , άρχι, chief, first, + ἱερεύς (> Ru . ieréi ), a priest, ἱερός , holy, sacred.] The prelacy: a collective term for the higher orders of ecclesiastics in the Ru ian Church, including metropolitans, archbishops, and bishops. [NL., άρχι- , chief, + NL. gastrula.] In embryol . , a bell-gastrula; a gastrula which is bell-shaped or has the form of a deep cup, resulting from that method of egg cleavage and gastrulation supposed to be primitive or palingenetic.
