cuspidate teeth

pl. Anat .: A name applied to the canine teeth in the human jaw, of which there are four, one on each side of the two incisors above and below. There is a single central point or cusp on the crown of these canines, whence the term cuspidate has been derived. The cusp is invariably worn away by use. ( Quain .)
