(ko-ro’nah), pl. coro’ne [L. “crown”; Gr. κορώνη.. A crown or crown-like eminence. ¢. ciliaris. See zona ciliaris. c. den’tis, the crown of a tooth. c. glan’dis, the rim which surrounds the base of the glans penis. c¢. ia’- ta, the radiating crown of fibers which pa from near the optic thalamus to every part of the cerebral cortex. c. ven’eris, a ring of syphilitic sores around the forehead, sometimes deeply affecting the bones of the head.
