Henry Lynden, an Ameriean author; born in Cincinnati, O., Jan. 20, 1835; was graduated at the Western Military Institute, Kentucky, in 1852; served during the Civil War as volunteer aide on the staffs of Generals Hardee and Wheeler. He was the author of “Poems,” and of many popular ballads which appeared during the Civil War.
