Diplopy

Affection of the eye by which two images of an object instead of one are formed on the retina, so that things appear double. It is probably due to some malformation of the crystalline lens, which causes a bifurcation of the rays of light. When three images are formed, the disease is called Triplopy. Diplotegium.
