(lion., Cambridge, 1877), lord bishop of Sodor and Man, Church of England; b. at St. Colombs, County Uerry, Ireland, in the year 1836; educated at Trinity College, Cambridge; graduated B.A. 1859, M.A. 1863; was ordained deacon 1860, priest 1861; became curate of Christ Church, Dover, 1860; of St. Mary's, Marylebone, 1861; vicar of St. Luke's, Nutford Place, London, 1863; rector of Frant, Su ex, 1868; vicar of St. Michael's, Chester Square, London, 1871; of Sheffield, and rural dean, 1873; bishop, 1877. He was prebendary of Strensall in York Cathedral, 1876-77, and chaplain to the Marquis of Abergavenny.
